Alexa Carr

Alexa is from the Kitsap Peninsula of WA state. Her areas of editing and writing expertise focus on the Physical Sciences, particularly Remote Sensing, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Sustainability & Land Use, and applications of Artificial Intelligence. As an educator, Alexa has also composed classroom-based Mathematics and Computer Skills instructional and curricula material. Her research experience surrounds Biological Mathematics, specifically, diagnostic procedures to minimize antibiotic resistance. The definition of a group over an elliptic curve is the foundation of elliptic curve cryptography because the identity element and the inverse of all elements of groups are unique. This uniqueness is what provides the security of elliptic curves. Groups must have an associated binary operation that satisfies the properties of closure, associativity, existence of an identity element, an inverse for every element in the group.
